Special Response Team

Select members of the Mills Police Department make up a portion of the Combined Agency Special Response Team (SRT), led by the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office. SRT provides high risk law enforcement services in the Natrona County and surrounding areas and specializes in high risk warrants, barricaded subjects, hostage situations, and other situations that exceed the capabilities of regular patrol functions. SRT is comprised of operators that specialize in bomb, sniper, negotiation, entry, and emergency medical functions. Team members train regularly and respond to situations when activated. Officers assigned to SRT perform regular patrol functions unless they are activated.
